This project will host films which show ordinary people involved in political struggles, what they can do, and barriers they overcome to change history. The cinema has been created as a space to use film to show the bravery and influence of marginalised people on social history, and the losses they had to ensure to secure their freedom. The chosen films will show perspectives and stories often neglected in 'blockbuster' cinema pictures. Following the films, each screening will host discussions and learning opportunities for audience members to engage and talk about the work.
