This project was generated by community members who have noticed a lack of film access and opportunity in the local area. Hosted by Bangladeshi Community Association, the cinema will be exploring will include a number of different things. An initial focus will be looking at ways of helping children with their emotions and feelings through certain animated films. At the end of the films the organisers will hold conversations about the issues addressed in the films, and encourage parents and children to talk about how they feel to each other, and how they related to the film. Other screenings will expand to address issues experienced by women in the community. If there are certain things the audience want to discuss, the project will use films addressing these issues and turn it into a social and educational event.
