project info

Bradford Fringe is an up and coming DIY/Grassroots arts festival which hosts a radical programme of dance, theatre, music, comedy, workshops, poetry and more. Founded in 2019 by local creative and cultural instigator, Laura Brooks, as a direct action to the lack of access to venues and production support for early career artists in the city. The festival supports local creatives, giving artists and audiences the chance to experiment with new ways of connecting to the arts. During 2020 the festival adapted to deliver a digital festival experience, supporting artisting in developing new and innovative ways of displaying their work for a virtual audience. In addition to indoor and online events, the festival hosts a weekend outdoor performances and activities, ensuring Bradford communities have something engaging & inspiring in their local spaces.
