project info

Intercultured Festival celebrates and and creates platforms for artists and communities to share their work, stories and experiences in artistic ways. The festival offered an important opportunity for marginalised, under-represented, sanctuary seeking communities in Bradford to have a voice and showcase their talents. Shining a light on international arts & culture, celebrates artists, forms, practices and regions that have been historically underrepresented in the UK. A range of performances were exhibited - from local and international poetry nights, a world music concert, Iranian hip hop dance theatre show, short film launch, African music and DJ nights. Audiences were exposed to an inspiring and diverse range of art forms that create new discourses about creativity and culture. The Leap supported community-led elements of their programme by providing a financial award.
