project info
The class which is for young adults with learning and physical disabilities met to discuss what light in times of darkness meant for them. The project found that there were a lot of commonalities within those in the group, particularly around the pandemic. The group wanted to demonstrate to wider Bradford that there were amazing positives to be gained from light and hope, so they decided to hold Zoom dance classes during the darkness with glow sticks, fairy lights and torches attached to them! When lockdown ended the classes were held at Sunnah Sports on Nesfield Street were filmed to document the joy of the project! The project wanted to highlight these voices, their thoughts and feelings as they are often unheard. The Leap supported this project with a LiT award, specifically for shining light on amazing projects!
