@theleapbd
the leap was established by a consortium of bradford district based organisations who are passionate about the role that arts and culture play in positively transforming the lives of people and places.
The Leap is all about supporting community-led culture. We are a Creative People and Places programme enabling the arts and culture for everyone, everywhere. With substantial financial backing from Arts Council England, Bradford Council and other partners, The Leap are working to broaden and strengthen participation in the arts and culture in areas of Bradford District that are considered to have been historically underserved.

who we’re loOking for
The Leap Consortium is seeking up to three new organisations to join us as members on our exciting journey to create change through community-led arts and culture. While these are voluntary opportunities, your organisation will gain the rewarding experience of contributing to a dynamic, innovative consortium that makes a lasting impact on communities and lives.
We are looking for organisations that share our vision and passion for using arts and culture to drive meaningful change. Specifically, we aim to include:
An established arts organisation with expertise in creative practices.
A grass-roots community organisation deeply connected to its local context.
A social enterprise experienced in operating at scale and delivering sustainable impact.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion are central to The Leap’s objectives. We actively encourage applications from organisations that represent diverse communities and perspectives, regardless of race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or disability.
Previous experience on Boards or Committees is not essential for your representatives. We are committed to expanding the diversity of our Consortium by welcoming organisations that can bring fresh perspectives, lived experience, and unique viewpoints to our mission. Your organisation’s representative(s) will play a vital role in shaping our work and should have full support from your leadership team before applying.
